Narrated by Anas ibn Malik: Allah`s Messenger (peace be upon him) said,

The most excellent charity consists in your satisfying a hungry stomach.

[Saheeh Al-Tirmidhi (2699)]

Application Process

Pease note: Due to limited resources, we target our high priority group such as the disabled, elderly, orphan and those in dire need. Thereafter, focus will be on those who need assistance in the short term e.g. loss of job etc. In Sha Allah

Step 1: The Imaam of each Masjid submits completed application forms to the JFIC Allocation Committee. Meetings are held on Wednesdays every two weeks. The deadline for the submission of the Applications is usually 4:00 p.m.

Step 2: The Allocation committee meets online to view the applications. Where necessary calls are placed to either the Imaam or the applicant to obtain further information. Incomplete or unsigned forms are returned to be completed/signed.

Step 3: Applicants are thus either approved/not approved. If approved, you now become a JFIC Beneficiary.

Beneficiaries are of two (2) types:

– Permanent case (elderly and disabled)

– Review Case (short period of time for your situation to be rectified)

Step 4: Letters with Membership Cards are thus sent directly to the Beneficiaries.

Step 5: All JFIC Beneficiaries must sign the Receipt Vouchers on collecting their Food Baskets. This is thus returned to JFIC as proof that you received your Food Basket.
