Masjid Ar-Rahman in Spanish Town
The Muslim population is estimated to be about 5,000. Officially, Islam was established on the island with the building of Masjid Ar-Rahman, the first official Masjid, in the old capital of Spanish Town in 1957. Today, the Islamic spirit is evident in a growing number of Masajids which currently stand at 15:
